Monday/ title:Blood on the River, chapter 5/pgs:26-34,min:15

Samuel went to get water to his master. He saw Captain Smith in chains but he was writing. Smith asks Samuel if he could read and he said that his mother toughed him. Smith asked other questions like how she learn. Captain Smith is writing because he wanted to do the same as Julius Ceasar when he was in prison. Samuel, Richard and James are talking about the Indians that live in the "New World", that they are half bold and have a lot of tattoos. What Samuel really got scared of was that the Indians chopped them to smaller peaces and ate him in a soup. Samuel sees some Indians in canoes and Smith does some sign language that he wants to trade. They agree and bring food. The chef on the bouts named some fruits like pineapple. Samuel was curios so he asked Smith how he knew all that. He said that it wasn't really that hard, the Indians in England used the same type of sign language to strangers.
